Our Trip to the Zoo

We all had a fantastic time at the zoo this week. We saw lots of animals and learned all about endangered species with Laura at the education centre.

Junior Cross Country 2013

Well done to everyone who ran in the cross country this week - you all did amazingly well!

A Tip Top Trip!!

We had a brilliant time at the Tip Top factory this week. We learnt loads about how ice cream is made; tried to work out different ice cream flavours using only our sense of smell and got to see a short movie all about the history of Tip Top - while trying out some of the yummy, scrummy ice cream! 

100 Day Party

We all had a brilliant time at our 100 day party this week! We got to go on a maths scavenger hunt, make 100 shaped sunglasses, paint 100 colours, make rice bubble cakes, play maths games and do some fitness maths too! Everyone had loads of fun and some people even dressed up for the occasion! There were some very inventive ideas! 

As Maths Week continues, don't forget to try to solve the daily maths challenge! 

Dog Safety

Today Lincoln and Diana came into school to teach us about how to be safe around dogs. We learned how to approach a dog once we have the owners permission, as well as what to do if we ever feel scared or anxious around a dog we don't know - stand still and keep our arms folded and fingers tucked in - be like a tree! Remember not run - dogs can run faster than you!! 

Week 2

This week we are very lucky to have Constable Gordon visiting us to teach us all about road safety. So far we have learned the kerb drill - Stop Look and Listen, talked about driveway safety and practised crossing a pretend road in school. Tomorrow we are going on a short walk and will be crossing some real roads.
